Subscriptions & refunds

Margin's subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. To cancel, change, or request a refund:

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by Margin. If you're unsure whether you're being charged or what tier you're on, open the Margin app → Settings.

Frequently asked

Why didn't my summary work for that link?

Margin needs the article's text to be reachable. Paywalled articles, login-gated pages, and PDFs may not summarize correctly. Try the article on the publisher's free version, or use Reader Mode in Safari and share the cleaned-up URL.

What languages are supported?

Summaries are translated to your device language. The text-to-speech voice quality depends on the voices installed on your device — install enhanced voices in iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices for best results.

Will my Free or Basic credits reset?

Free tier is a lifetime trial — 3 summaries total, no reset. Basic resets every 7 days from your subscription start date; unused credits do not roll over. Pro is unlimited.

I reinstalled the app and lost my history.

Your usage quota survives reinstalls (synced via iCloud Key-Value Store), but your summary library is stored locally on your device and is not currently synced. Reinstalling will reset the library.
